Writing is an art, it’s a job, and it’s a hobby all rolled into one. While my career has also included editing, project management, and event planning, I always go back to writing. I love it and hate it—and hate that I love it.
My bachelor’s degree is in journalism and mass communication with a minor in English from Iowa State University. I am fond of em dashes (and parentheses) and can be swayed either way on the Oxford comma.
When not working, I’m often spending time with the people I love as a wife, mother, friend, and neighbor. Some of my favorite things include traveling, rock climbing, shopping at Trader Joe’s, listening to podcasts, consuming chocolate, staying up too late, and celebrating Groundhog Day.
